Learn how to market a sports club, how to collaborate with actors to create a festival, or how events contribute to the regional economy

A Bachelor programme in Economics and Business Administration contains a broad range of business economics subjects, including marketing, accounting, finance, IT, planning, and organisational theory. It provides you with a versatile set of business skills that can be used in both private and public companies and within a wide range of industries. A BSc in Economics and Business Administration from SDU enables you to hold a position within virtually any of a company's administrative functions.

Choosing the line "Sports- and Event Management" further provides you with knowledge about an industry with specific characteristics. You will, for example, learn how to market a professional sports club, how to collaborate with other actors to create a festival, or how events contribute to the regional economy. Working with such tasks is quite complex and requires specific competences and skills that you will acquire during the study programme.

Since the sport and event industry is growing and increasingly seeking for specifically and highly qualified people, an education in Sport and Event Management provides you with very good job opportunities, for example as a marketing representative, sponsor coordinator, or financial manager in both sports clubs or cultural institutions or as a sport or event coordinator in municipalities.
