National Institute of Public Health


The National Institute of Public Health (NIPH) is Denmark's national public health institute. The NIPH is a research institute under the Faculty of Health Sciences, University of Southern Denmark. Before January 2007 the institute belonged under the Danish Ministry of the Interior and Health. The NIPH is based in Copenhagen.


To take part in the process towards better public health and a better health care system through research and reviews.

The institute has 100 employees. Among the researchers are doctors, midwives, nurses, psychologists, anthropologists, sociologists, statisticians and economists.
