SDU Centre for Sustainable Supply Chain Engineering was established in 2017.

The centre is an interdisciplinary research unit. Research program in the centre has been developed in close collaboration with industry and contributes to the sustainable development within the focus area of manufacturing, industrial and supply chain engineering management.

We have strong competencies in engineering optimization and decision-making and work within the research areas of  Sustainable Supply Chain Management, Sustainable Operations Management, Sustainable Circular Economy, Green Supply Chain Management, Reverse Logistics, Closed Loop Supply Chain, Corporate Social Responsibility, Corporate Sustainability, Sustainable Consumption and Production, Extended Producer Responsibility, Industry 4.0 with Sustainable Supply Chain focus, Resource and energy efficient supply chain / manufacturing, Supply Chain Network Design, Supply Chain Risk Management, Knowledge Management, Modularization, Maintenance Management, Optimizations Methods, Decision Analysis, Multi Attribute Decision Making methods (Multi Criteria Decision Making and Multi Objective Decision Making), Analytical Modelling, Fuzzy and Grey Set Theory.
