Computational Design and Digital Fabrication

The research area focuses on systematic and creative explorations into novel architectural processes and solutions at the intersection between the fields of computer science, advanced manufacturing and emergent material technologies.

Within the Section of Civil and Architectural Engineering (CAE), the group for Computational Research in Emergent Architectural Technology (CREATE) led by Assistant Professor Roberto Naboni, is tackling the multifaceted aspects, across a number of research projects.

The group also coordinates CAE’s activities in the field of Industry 4.0 and VR/AR/MR. In the CREATE Lab – the physical infrastructure of the group - future scenarios of construction are studied from disruptive concepts to applied research, bringing together design and making, through technology.

CREATE Lab is the WASP Hub for Denmark and part of an international network of digital fabrication.
