Jakob Tarp visiting Cambridge
From August 1st to October 31st PhD student Jakob Tarp will be visiting the MRC Physical Activity Epidemiology Unit at the University of Cambridge, England.
The unit at Cambridge is a leading player in the field of physical activity assessment in populations studies and in studying the consequences of low physical activity levels.
The purpose of the research visit is to analyze data from an international database on physical activity, adiposity and biological markers of health in children.
In collaboration with Dr. Søren Brage it will be quantified how much of the relation between physical activity and the blood's content of sugars and fat which can be attributed to the effect of physical activity on adiposity.
It is further expected to set up a platform for further joint projects between RICH and the MRC Physical Activity Epidemiology Unit.
