Storage of biological material in OPEN's biobank is free of charge. Storage in the biobank means that the biological material is registered in the OPEN Projects database, this registration provides a complete track of what the biobank contains, precisely where its placed and how much there is left once you begin dispensing material.
The physical handling of the biological material before it is stored in the biobank, is agreed upon and settled financially with Department of Clinical Biochemistry and Pharmacology or Department of Clinical Immunology. Your choice of laboratory department depends on the types of material and plans for analysation.

Department of Clinical Immunology

The department has no standard biobank package for the time being and must therefore be contacted for individual agreements when the Department of Clinical Biochemistry and Pharmacology can not perform the task, for example; in the case of controlled freezing of living blood cells or when the Department of Clinical Immunology is already involved in the project's analyses. Please contact: Torben.Barington@rsyd.dk.
