We conduct research on user perspectives in relation to user involvement in practice and in research – both by involving the users as co-researchers in our research projects and by examining how users are involved in other research projects.
We focus on experiences with involvement in Danish research environments. Another area is, the impact of involving users as co-researchers throughout the research process. Research on user involvement can also focus on health professionals as partners in the health care system. We also acknowledge the legal and economic aspects that arise from user involvement.
We study user perspectives on health, illness and how the users experience health care delivery within and outside the healthcare system, including patient reported outcomes and patient satisfaction. We are engaged with aspects, challenges and possibilities that arise for the user, when being involved.
We emphasise the users’ perspective and expectation and the significance of user involvement. We also stress the relational interaction between the user and the healthcare professional.
