Football is Medicine
This scientific conference will bring together expert researchers from around the globe to present and discuss the increasing evidence of recreational football as a tool for the prevention and treatment of various non-communicable diseases.
The conference will be held at the main campus of the University of Southern Denmark in Odense, the third largest city in Denmark.
Odense is located on the island of Funen, approximately 140 km from Copenhagen, the capital of Denmark. Odense is easily reached, with fast trains departing from Copenhagen and Copenhagen Airport three times every hour.
The city offers accommodation at a range of prices, from more expensive hotels to youth hostels and bed & breakfast. A fixed number of rooms will be pre-booked for conference delegates. The hotels are conveniently located in the centre of Odense, within walking distance of the train station and just a "long throw-in" away from onsorHans Christian Andersen's childhood home. You can easily explore Odense's pulsating urban life and the charming atmosphere of Andersen's old neighbourhood.
We hope that a lot of delegates will attend the conference and we look forward to welcoming you to Odense in January 2019.
Please be aware that the total number of participants is limited to 180.
