Postdoctoral Researcher at SDU Esbjerg Zeinab Rezvani has been awarded the Marie Skłodowska-Currie Individual Fellowship, one of Europe’s most prestigious grants for junior researchers. The grant is 1.6 million DKK for 2 years.  Her MSCA project (MOTIVE) will investigate ways to motivate sustainable consumption.

Today, the awareness of the environmental impact of consumption and the amount of sustainable solutions is high. However, the current level of sustainable consumption is low and will not lead to a sustainable future. MOTIVE is going to help with a better understanding of the consumers’ motivation for sustainable consumption and how to use this knowledge to increase sustainable consumption.

The project will investigate the effects and relationships of individual motives for sustainable consumptions such as costs, and benefits, moral norms and emotions. Moreover, MOTIVE will provide insights on how to communicate and promote sustainable consumption.
