Research profile

I am an anthropologist and have primarily been involved in qualitative research within the area of health anthropology with a focus on patients with diabetes and cancer. My PhD project is a mixed-methods project that also focuses on the development and testing of patient-reported outcomes (PROMs). In the PhD project, I will examine empowerment in cancer survivors post treatment. The purpose of the project is to investigate whether empowerment makes sense to cancer survivors and if it is feasible to assess empowerment with a self-report questionnaire. In the project, I also examine how we can best involve cancer survivors as co-researchers in the research process.
