Research profile

I completed the master Medical Psychology in the Netherlands and started as a PhD student at the Department of Psychology, SDU in 2018.

My project focuses on the psychological impact of hypoglycemia in children and adolescents with type 1 diabetes. This project is undertaken as part of the Hypo-RESOLVE study and will include different research methodologies (systematic review, analysis of pooled trial data, quantitative and qualitative multi country study). The aim of this project is to increase the understanding of the most important ways in which hypoglycemia affects the lives of young people with type 1 diabetes and to identify possible ways to reduce the psychological burden of hypoglycemia in clinical practice.

Furthermore, I am especially interested in applying research to clinical practice.
