Plan your transportation around in Denmark

When you arrive in Denmark, there are two websites we will recommend when you plan your further travelling in Denmark.

From Kastrup Airport

Copenhagen has an international airport, and it is easy to reach by air via Helsinki, Stockholm and Oslo. From the airport, you can reach Odense in either of two ways:

  • You can go by train directly from Kastrup Airport to Odense (a trip of about 1 hour and 40 minutes – tickets can be bought at the airport at the DSB information desk or at the ticket machines close to the train tracks). 
  • Or you can catch the Metroline from Kastrup Airport to the Central Station in Copenhagen. From the Central Station i Copenhagen you can  go by train to Odense (tickets can be bought at the airport at the DSB information desk or at the ticket machines at the Metro), or you can go by bus with Flixbus.

 

From Billund Airport

Getting to Odense from Billund Airport, your first step is to go by bus to the train station in Vejle or Kolding and then catch a train directly to Odense. It takes about 1 hour and 30 minutes in total. 

 

Transportation in Odense

In Odense there are various ways to get around in the city: 

Free inner city bus: In Odense there are free inner city bus services that run at intervals of approximately ten minutes. The buses are easy to recognize - they are pink and decorated with characters from Hans Christian Andersen’s fairy tales.

FynbusIf you are going for a ride with the bus in Odense, you are travelling with FynBus. Tickets can be purchased as mobile tickets by downloading this App. You can pay with MobilePay or a number of debit cards.

Rent a bike: You can  jump on a city bike from Donkey Republic in Odense. If you wat to rent a bike the easiest way is to download the App.
