Project: Digital transformation

The focus will be on the organizations and management's role in dealing with uncertainty consisting of barriers and side effects and moreover the opportunities that arise. At OUH, the main focus will be video consultation (telemedicine) and at SDU the main focus will be online teaching since these activities include both employees (clinicians at OUH and lecturers at SDU) and “users” (the patients at OUH and students at SDU).

The study is comparative and has the intention to create a great foundation for learning between two large public organizations – how do management approach tasks with digital transformation, how are initiatives organized, how are the technologies and initiatives deployed and received in the organization and which consequences does the implementation of digital technologies have compared to the value proposition of the organization, the organization of and employees work identities and motivation? The two studies and the comparison of them gives both organizations opportunities to (re)consider their approach to digital transformation.
