Getting around in Odense

Shuttle Bus (Bergholt A/S) from the hotels to SDU

 

SDU is located in the outskirts of Odense and is thus not within easy walking distance from downtown. The organizer has arranged bus transfers from the hotels to SDU - please see the timetables below:

 

 

 Thursday 10 August:

• Please note that guests from Hotel Cabinn board the bus from Hotel Plaza (from Cabinn, please turn right on Østre Stationsvej, where you will find Hotel Plaza after 5 minutes’ walk)

• Please note that guests from Hotel City board the bus at Hotel Radisson (just across the street)

   

  Departure

• departure from Hotel First Grand 07.55 am

• departure from Hotel Windsor 08.00 am

• departure from Hotel Plaza 08.00 am

• departure from Hotel Ansgar 07.55 am

• departure from Hotel Radisson 08.00 am

   

  The bus returns to the center of Odense at 16.15 pm.

  Friday 11 August:

• Please note that guests from Hotel Ansgar board the bus from Hotel Plaza (from Hotel Ansgar, please turn right on Østre Stationsvej, where you will find Hotel Plaza after one minute walk).

• Please note that guests from Hotel Cabinn board the bus at Hotel Plaza (from Hotel Cabinn, please turn right on Østre Stationsvej, then you find the Hotel Plaza after 5 minutes’ walk)

• Please note that guests from Hotel City board the bus from Hotel Radisson (just across the street)

The bus returns to the center of Odense at 11.15.

 

 If you need to go to SDU or the city center of Odense at other times, you have the possibility of going by city bus or taxi. Please  see below:

City bus

 lines 40-44, run between Odense train station (OBC) and the University of Southern Denmark (SDU).  A one way ticket cost 24 DKK and you can buy the ticket when you board the bus.

Taxi
A Taxi costs about 150 DKK (about € 20). Ask the driver to drop you off at the main entrance at the University. Taxis can be found at the train station or booked by phone: +45 66 15 44 15 or +45 66 12 27 12.

Car

Parking is free at SDU Odense, but your car needs to be digital registered via self-service Ipads placed by the entrances by the parking lots.
