PhD Programs

The CCC group emphasizes the, nurturing, integration and building of future research talent. To that end we have the following activities

CCC Graduate Research Hub

This is a forum for advanced students at the bachelor programs or at the M.Sc. programs, research assistants in the CCC group and PhD students. The forum’s main aim is to discuss advanced theory, discuss research articles or present one’s own research projects. CCC faculty will regularly give a presentation on a research project, a theoretical current or provide feedback on paper/thesis presentations. Students are encouraged to use this forum as a springboard to publish their master thesis research in academic outlets together with faculty (typically the thesis supervisor).

CCC Visiting PhD programme

Ph.D. training.
The group has a number of regular phd students in the unit and is working towards establishing an innovative postgraduate program where advanced students can enter the PhD immediately after their bachelor graduation.

  • The CCC group holds its one-week intensive seminar, Consumption Theory. "A Canon of Classics" every other year.
  • The CCC group chairs the European Doctoral Consortium in Consumer Culture Theorizing.
