Magnus Wahlberg is daily leader of the laboratory and associate professor at SDU. He majored in Physics and Biology and worked with fish and seal biology in Sweden before starting a PhD in Denmark in marine bioacoustics. He works on hearing and sound production of marine mammals, birds and fish. He is in charge of the outreach program at the Department of Biology.
Kirstin Andersen Hansen (ATAP) is in charge of animal training and husbandry for all marine mammals and birds, both at the laboratory and at Fjord&Bælt. Her research focuses on hearing and behaviour of marine animals.
Jamileh Javidpour is assistant professor at SDU. She gained her MSc in marine fish biology in Iran and her PhD at GEOMAR in Kiel. She coordinates a Horizon 2020 project called Go Jelly which involves 15 institutions and industrial partners and addresses marine litters and two major increasing problems of coastal and shallow seas: jellyfish blooms and microplastic debris. for more information see:www.gojelly.eu
Hans-Ulrik Risgaard is professor emeritus in marine biology at SDU and specialized in the feeding ecology and physiology of marine invertebrates.
Lee Miller is professor emeritus at the Department of Biology, SDU. He is active in a few research projects, specifically the behavior of wild harbor porpoises to anthropogenic sounds (using “state-of-the-art” tags) and the evolution of hearing in harbor porpoises and other small odontocetes using high frequency narrow band biosonar.
Sonja Rasmussen is laboratory technician at the Department of Biology. She visits Kerteminde every second week and take care of labs and their equipment. She is also responsible for safety routines at the lab.
Niels With Møller helps with practical issues regarding the function of the lab, as well as maintenance and new research setups. He is at the lab about once every week.
