From the 27th to the 29th of November 2019, Associate Professor Hamid Reza Shaker and PhD student Roberto Perillo Barbosa de Silva attended in the IEEE International Symposium on Advanced Electrical and Communication Technologies ISAECT2019 held in Rome, Italy.
As one of the keynote speakers, Hamid gave a keynote speech entitled "Smarter Maintenance for Smarter Cities" at the symposium. He received a Certificate of Appreciation from the organizers of this international event.

Besides, Hamid and Roberto presented their papers at the symposium. Hamid presented two papers titled "Fault Location in Distribution Grid" and "Energy Management for Smart Microgrid Considering Demand Response Program and Energy Storage" respectively. Roberto presented a paper titled "Harmonic Interaction Effects on Power Quality and Measurement".
