Al-Quds Center for Political Studies
The center is an independent research institute in Amman. The center aims to provide a comprehensive and more accurate understanding of the developments and challenges which the Jordanian state and society are facing. The Center looks to examine, from all possible angles, the regional and international environments surrounding these developments, and to contribute to keeping the Jordanian and Arab public opinion informed regarding the strategic transformations which the region is witnessing. The center has a focus area on democratisation and reform.

Al Urdun Al Jadid Research Centre (UJRC)
The centre seeks to foster sustainable development and democratisation in Jordan and the Middle East. Arab Reform Initiative (ARI)
ARI is a network of independent Arab research and policy institutes, with partners from the United States and Europe. Its goal is to mobilise the Arab research capacity to advance knowledge and develop a program for democratic reform in the Arab World which is realistic and home grown. The Initiative also aims to produce policy recommendations that can help promote reform in the region.

Programme on Governance in the Arab Region (UNDP-POGAR)
POGAR was developed at the request of Arab governments, and therefore specifically addresses national needs and concerns. POGAR is dedicated to the promotion and development of good governance practices and related reforms in the Arab states.

European Union Institute for Security Studies (EUISS)
The EUISS is an autonomous agency. As a think tank it researches security issues of relevance for the EU and provides a forum for debate. In its capacity as an EU agency, it also offers analyses and forecasting to the Council of the European Union. Its goals are to find a common security culture for the EU, to help develop and project the CFSP, and to enrich Europe’s strategic debate.

International Affairs Institute (IAI)
A non-profit organisation, the IAI is funded by individual and corporate members, public and private organisations, major international foundations, and by a standing grant from the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The Institute's main objective is to promote an understanding of the problems of international politics through studies, research, meetings and publications, with the aim of increasing the opportunities of all countries to move in the direction of supranational organisation, democratic freedom and social justice. MEPI located within the Bureau of Near Eastern Affairs at the U.S. Department of State, assists efforts to expand political participation, strengthen civil society and the rule of law, empower women and youth, create educational opportunities, and foster economic reform throughout the Middle East and North Africa.

USAID is an independent federal government agency that receives overall foreign policy guidance from the Secretary of State. USAID focus on, among other things, democracy assistance and has the Middle East as one of its focus areas.
