In 2008, the University of Southern Denmark established a guest professorship at the Center for Contemporary Middle East Studies. The professorship offers internationally renowned scholars the opportunity to teach and research at the Center for a period of up to one year. Guest professors normally teach one graduate course per semester. The course is based on their specific research expertise and complements the course program of the Center’s MA in Middle East Studies.
With this guest professorship, the university wants to contribute to the internationalization of teaching and research in Denmark. The appointment of guest professors takes place through collaborative efforts among the administrative bodies of the Center for Contemporary Middle East Studies, the Department of History, and the Faculty of Humanities. For further enquiries please contact Dietrich Jung, the Head of Centre of the Center for Contemporary Middle East Studies.
