The multifunctional agricultural landscape

The analyses will be based on studies implemented in eastern and western Jutland in the 1990s, and will include changes of all farm buildings in the areas as well as the total effects on functions and structures of the landscapes.

The project further includes analyses of policies, laws and plans at EU, national, regional and local level as to objectives and designations, regulation types and financial means. Based on analyses and elevations of Danish and international experience with innovative policies and projects, estimates of future needs and possibilities for administration will be given.

Project Manager is Jørgen Primdahl, Forest & Landscape Denmark (University of Copenhagen), and the Danish Agricultural Advisory Service (DAAS) participates as third partner.

The project includes one of five projects in the research program 'the future role and development of farming and food sector seen in a regional perspective' and runs from 2007 to 2010. The project has received EUR 200,000 from the Directorate for Food, Fisheries and Agri Business.
