Since 1994, BRIT conferences are organized in two or more cities divided by a boundary. The 2016 edition will be held in two locations, Hamburg in Germany and Sønderborg in Denmark. The conference will start in Hamburg in the morning of 17th May 2016 and will end in Sønderborg in the evening of 20th May. On Thursday May 19, we’ll leave Hamburg and visit the Danish-German border region by bus (free of charge). Transport will be offered from Sønderborg to Hamburg Airport on Saturday morning (€30). If you attend the whole conference, you’ll sleep in Hamburg on Tuesday and Wednesday night and in Sønderborg on Thursday and Friday night.
The language of the conference is English. All papers must be presented in English.
Fees can only be paid by Credit card. Payments can only be made in Danish Krone (DKK).
Reception at City Hall, Hamburg, Tuesday May 17
Registered participants are cordially invited to City Hall, Rathausmarkt 1, 20095 Hamburg. The reception has been planned for the time 7pm-9pm. The official entrance starts at 6.30 pm. To enter the reception hall all guests should show a valid ID card as well as a personal invitation delivered by the organizers. If you have not registered for the conference and would like to attend the reception, email Galya Vladova (email@example.com) before April 5.
Gala dinner - Friday May 20
The gala dinner will take place at the Comwell Hotel, Strandvej 1, 6400 Sønderborg (approximately €40, not refundable). We’ll enjoy a 3 course menu including vegetarian alternative and a glass of wine accompanying each course.
Bus shuttle - Saturday May 21
A bus shuttle will be organized between Sønderborg and Hamburg Airport on Saturday morning (approximately €30, not refundable). The bus will leave Sønderborg at 8am and reach Hamburg Airport at about 11am. Due to major works on the highway to Hamburg, the exact time of arrival in Hamburg Airport cannot be guaranteed.

Full papers will not be requested. Authors are free to disseminate their paper to the participants of their session.
A paper session is comprised of a grouping of individual presentations.
• 15 minutes per paper;
• 4 or 5 presentations per session followed by 15-30 minutes of discussion;
• A digital projector and a laptop will be provided in each meeting room
City tour Hamburg
On Monday, 16 May, Martin Klatt, who is a native of Hamburg, will give a ca. 3 h guided tour in Hamburg for early arrivers. We will walk and use public transport. Meeting point: City Hall entrance, 15.00 h sharp. Costs: ca. 2 € pr. person for HVV group ticket. If interested, please email Martin Klatt (firstname.lastname@example.org).
