Casper Sylvest is an Associate Professor at the Department of History, University of Southern Denmark. His primary research interest revolves around the impact of technologies, in particular nuclear technologies, on politics and culture during the Cold War. Geographically, he focuses on Denmark, Britain and the US. Moreover, he has a longstanding interest in British and American visions of international and global politics during the nineteenth and twentieth centuries. Currently, Casper directs a research project on the history of civil defence in Denmark during the Cold War.
