Center for American Studies

Center for American Studies

The Center for American Studies was founded in 1992 to encourage research on the cultures, politics, literatures, and traditions of the United States.

The Center for American Studies is the oldest and largest such center in Denmark. Its creation was encouraged and supported by the Fulbright Commission. The core faculty, all of whom have also taught at American universities, focus their research entirely on the United States, serving as a focal point for others with related interests on the several campuses of the University of Southern Denmark and in the rest of Denmark. The Center offers a BA and MA degree, as well as a three-year PhD for selected students.
