The work with educational quality at the Faculty of Engineering is carried out by the faculty secretariat and the individual programs jointly. The faculty's quality coordinator is the daily manager of the quality work and reports to the head of education. The education leaders are the primary resource and entry persons for the work with education quality at the respective educations. The work with education quality is coordinated, facilitated and developed from the TEK Education Quality Group (TEK-QUALITY)
TEK-KVAL consists of the faculty's quality coordinator (chairman of the group), all education coordinators (or equivalent employees on the programs with a focus on education quality), other quality employees at the faculty and the faculty's study advisor. The director of education, TEK U&K department manager and other employees can participate as needed.
Purpose and tasks
TEK-KVAL's tasks are to coordinate, facilitate and develop the faculty's work with educational quality and to contribute to an ongoing monitoring of indicators of the educations' quality and work.
The group has three primary purposes:
- To coordinate and facilitate the daily and systematic work with educational quality at the Faculty of Engineering
- To contribute to a development and long-term strengthening of the quality culture around the faculty's programs
- To ensure an ongoing and relevant development for competence quality in the group
- To contribute to the exchange of experience and knowledge sharing
- To contribute to an ongoing monitoring of indicators on the quality and functioning of the programmes
