In order to obtain a postdoctoral fellowship, it is for most foundations a strict requirement that you show mobility. You have to move out of the lab, where you obtained your PhD and show that you can succeed in another environment. This is your first way to demonstrate independence. Normally, mobility also means moving from or to Denmark.
Several grants are available for postdoctoral fellowships. Most have a timespan of 2-3 years.
