'Safety point' is intended to enable everyone at SDU to make an active effort to secure their own safety and that of others.
At 'Safety point' you will find emergency equipment designed to address acute og crisis situationes.
What can ’Safety points’ be used for?
- From the emergency telephone you can contact
- the emergency services on 1-1-2
- SDU on 6550 8888
- On the site map shows you can see where you are at SDU, where the emergency services should come and which way you can go to meet up with the emergency services.
Regardless of where they are sited at SDU, ’Safety points’ are constructed as a black box like shown on the folder you find below.
’Safety points’ are sited visibly in public areas where there is significant movement and activity.
In every classroom you can find safety information indicating the nearest ’Safety point’. On the university’s site map ’Safety points’ are marked with the red triangel.
Technical services are responsible for the maintenance of the 'safety point'
