Recently, the summarizing main paper of the IntellAct project - Intelligent observation and execution of Actions and manipulations - that was running from 2011-2014, has been accepted in the top journal IEEE Transactions on Systems, Man, and Cybernetics: Systems.

The IntellAct project was co-ordinated by SDU and had as result a demonstrator for flexible production systems at Technical Readiness Level 4 (TRL 4). The paper summarizes the main achievements of this project. As a follow-up of the IntellAct project, the EU project ReconCell - Reconfigurable robot workCell for fast set-up of automated assembly processes in SMEs (www.reconcell.eu, 2015-2018) will further develop the technology to TRL 6. By that, in particular Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) will be supported by means of efficient tools for using robots in their production enabling easy automation of also small batch size production.
