Become EU project evaluator
As a researcher, you have the opportunity to be the evaluator of various types of applications to the EU Research Council and foundations. As an evaluator, you gain great insight into what characterizes a successful EU application and gain knowledge about the latest research in an EU context. You can read more about how to become an evaluator here.
Horizon 2020 is the EU framework programme for research and innovation for the period 2014-2020. Horizon 2020 is divided into three pillars:
- Excellent Science
- Industrial Leadership
- Societal Challenge
SDU RIO mainly supports projects in pillar 2 (Industrial Leadership) and 3 (Societal Challenge), while the faculty's research support units primarily support pillar 1 (Excellent Science).
SDU RIO consults and provides administrative support, so you don't have to focus on the administrative part of your research. Within pillar 2 and 3, SDU RIO offers advice, support and guidance concerning:
- Background information (policy).
- Idea and concept development.
- Network and partner identification.
- Strategic planning (pre-award).
- Composition of the application - especially the implementation and impact.
- Facilitation of consortium meetings and collaboration.
In addition to the individual pillars, SDU RIO also supports a number of programmes that run across the individual pillars. You can read about the various programmes here:
