Two testing machines are available for material testing, capable of performing tensile, compression, and bending tests.
One machine has a capacity of 50 kN, while the other has a capacity of 250 kN. Both machines are manufactured and supplied by ZwickRoell.
If there is a need to examine the mechanical properties of very long and robust items, this can be done in the concrete laboratory, where material testing has access to a 1200 kN machine. This machine is also supplied by ZwickRoell.
All machines are operated via a PC, equipped with the software “TestXpert III.” All three testing machines can generally be used for the same purposes, but the “medium-sized” machine is equipped with a temperature chamber, enabling tests at different temperatures. If tests are to be conducted at room temperature, the size of the item to be tested is the only determining factor for the choice of machine.
