Course planning

PhD courses

As a student researcher you may participate in up to three PhD courses offered by the Faculty of Health Sciences. Please discuss your choice of PhD courses with your supervisor. There will be no course fee for your course participation.
You may also participate in other Universities' PhD courses, but you may then have to pay a course fee. Unfortunately, the Graduate School does not offer subsidies for student researchers' course participation.

For medical students: Master programme in Research Methodology and Evidence Based Medicine

Medical students must include the master's course “Research methodology and evidence based medicine” in the student research year. You are encouraged to take the course in the beginning of the research year. Please note that you cannot take the course during your leave of absence.

Suggestion for medical students: Research methodology course > Leave of absence > Master thesis

If you start your research year in the spring semester, we suggest you take the research methodology course in February and is on leave of absence March 1 to August 31. If you start your research year in the fall semester we suggest you take the research methodology course in September and is on leave of absence October 1 to March 31.
