Content and aim:
The course will contain elements especially relevant to statiscics in clinical cancer research and the course requires basic knowledge from Biostatistic I, whereas Biostatistics II is recommended. Topics in the course will be: - - Trial planning - phase I, II and III
- Interpretation of survival data
- What is the meaning of a p-value?
- The risk of false-positive results
- Is multivariate analysis the right solution?
- The importance of prior probability
Beside regular lectures the student will be presented with cases that they will solve in groups and present to the rest of the students.
Literature will be distributed by Blackboard, the platform for e-learning at University of Southern Denmark. In due time, participants will be informed via email that the platform for this seminar has been opened.
