Advanced statistical methods in Biomedicine

Graduate Programme in Public Health

Participants will get a better understanding of the statistical analysis aspects of their own data furnishing them with a improved future analysis strategy

The appropriate and efficient statistical analysis of data collected in medicine affords often advanced techniques which are only covered on more elementary level in introductory statistical courses.
This course aims at medical scientists who probably already have collected part of their data for an actual project and are facing a concrete data analytical problem. They are typically in need to get an overview about appropriate analytical methods and some discussion with statistical experts to be set on the right track to be able to solve their problem.
This course offers several topics of relevance for medical statistics. Participants are asked to identify the topic matching their need.
The course will be organized as a ‘boot camp’ where the participants gather for two days at the centre. This environment seems to be most appropriate to the fruitful and intensive interaction between the medical and the statistical experts.
