Romana Careja is Associate Professor at the Department of Political Science and the Danish Centre for Welfare Studies. She obtained her PhD from the Political Science Institute, University of Berne (Switzerland), and MA in Political Science from Central European University. Prior to joining SDU, she was research and teaching fellow at the Institute of Sociology and Social Psychology, University of Cologne (Germany). Her work has been published in leading journals such as International Migration Review, Journal of Ethnic and Migration Studies, Comparative Political Studies, Journal of European Social Policy, Scandinavian Political Studies.
