Research interests: Health economics; econometrics, inequality in health and healthcare utilization, inequality in ageing and unhealthy ageing.
Jørgen T. Lauridsen is a professor in health economics and econometrics at Department of Business and Economics. His research spans on econometric methods and applications, especially within health economics. In particular, his research is focused on inequality in health and healthcare utilisation and the causes for these inequalities. He is Country Team Leader for the Danish branch of the international data collection Survey of Ageing, Health and Retirement in Europe (SHARE) and the research infrastructure REGLINK-SHAREDK that links the Danish SHARE data with Danish register data; see https://www.sdu.dk/en/sam/share. His research has been published in leading journals like Journal of Health Economics, Health Economics, Journal of Public Economics, New England Journal of Medicine, Journal of the American Geriatrics Society, Value in Health etc.
