Green Tech Center Triple Helix Inspirational Tour - USA
In September 2013 Centre for Smart Energy Solutions participated in The Green Tech Center Triple Helix inspirational tour to the USA among with representatives from several Danish businesses, educations and the Municipality of Vejle.
It was a week covered with interesting visits, speaks and networking opportunities. The visit started of in New York, where the delegation among others visited New York City Economic Development Corporation (NYCEDC) and some of their projects such as Empire State Building, Highline – elevated park and East River Ferry.
After a few interesting days in New York the delegation moved on to San Francisco where Innovation Center Denmark had three inspirational days lined up.
Among others the stay in San Francisco offered at visit to YouNoodle where tools and tips on how to build an innovation ecosystem was the main topic. The visit also presented the opportunity to network with Danish tech professionals in San Francisco.
The delegation also visited NASA Ames Sustainability Base where they got a tour of the Base and was presented with the research at NASA Ames and how they collaborate externally.
The visit also presented relevant research and opportunities for collaboration with Lawrence Berkeley National Labs, Plug and Play Tech Center, Silicon Valley Smart Energy Development Zone (SEEDZ), among others.
