The North Atlantic Treaty Organization has turned 70 this year. The Center for War Studies has the great pleasure to join the Alliance in celebrating this milestone in Denmark. This high-level international conference, organized in collaboration with the Royal Danish Defence College, commemorates these seven decades of transatlantic cooperation by bringing together senior military officers, political practitioners, academics, policy influencers, and university students, who will not only reflect  upon the historical role and purpose of NATO, as well as Denmark’s membership in the Alliance, but also the challenges that lie ahead for the Alliance. The Center for War Studies is delighted to welcome Anders Fogh Rasmussen, former Prime Minister of Denmark and the 12th Secretary General of NATO, as the conference keynote speaker.

There is no participation fee, but advanced registration is required.  If you would like to attend, please register here by Thursday 29 August 2019In the meantime, you can also answer this short survey. Thank you!
