We are happy to announce our ATLAS Symposium 2019 and present a strong line-up of excellent speakers and a great program. Get ready for two fantastic days at Hindsgavl Castle together with ATLAS – Center for Functional Genomics and Tissue Plasticity
Tissue Plasticity of Obesity
June 30 – July 1, 2019
Hindsgavl Castle, Middelfart, Denmark
Obesity is a major risk factor for development of a plethora of life-threatening metabolic diseases, including cardiovascular diseases, type II diabetes, and fatty liver disease. Tissue plasticity of the adipose tissue is a prerequisite for adaptation to overnutrition but is also an important driver of obesity comorbidities. Similarly, tissue plasticity of the liver contributes to both adaptive and pathophysiological consequences of obesity. This meeting will highlight the molecular and cellular mechanisms of adipose and hepatic tissue plasticity, the pathophysiological consequences thereof, as well as advanced technologies to study these processes.
Researchers at all levels with an interest in the field of obesity are invited to register. The meeting represents a unique opportunity to network and discuss on-going projects with experts in the field.
