Entry requirements
You are qualified for admission if you hold a Bachelor's degree in Business Language and Culture (Negot) from SDU. The degree gives you a legal claim for admission.
Please note that you only have a legal claim for admission to the language profile corresponding with the language profile of your Bachelor’s degree. If you completed a BA in. in Business Language and Culture (Negot) in Arabic or Spanish and hold a legal claim for admission, please refer to the curriculum for information on specific rules that applies in your case.
If you have another degree
You can also apply if you hold another Bachelor’s degree including a minimum of 10 ECTS within each of the following subject areas:
- Marketing (e.g. Marketing, Consumer behaviour, Business to business)
- Business Economics and Management (e.g. Management, HRM, Statistics, Corporate law, Financing)
- Culture (e.g. Cultural theory, anthropology, sociology)
- Communication (e.g. Negotiation skills, intercultural communication)
- English or German language depending on the selected profile (e.g. Linguistics, grammar)
If you don't fulfill all requirements, you may be admitted under the condition that you follow a maximum of 10 ECTS supplementary courses during the first year after admission.
English language requirements
The programme is taught in English. If your Bachelor’s degree is not from SDU, you are required to submit proof of your proficiency in English. See the English language requirements.
Selection criteria
There is a limited number of study places in the programme. If there are more qualified applicants than study places, the following score system is used for the selection of applicants without a legal claim:
- 5 points for meeting the entry requirements in advance, i.e. not needing supplementary courses
- 2 points for having passed 10 ECTS in negotiation/ conflict management
- 1 point for having passed 10 ECTS in the cultural area of the language programme (German or English) or intercultural communication
- 1 point for having passed 10 ECTS in English or German language depending on the selected profile (e.g. Linguistics, grammar)
- 1 point for having passed 10 ECTS in marketing/consumer behaviour
Applicants are ranked based on their scores. If more applicants achieve the same score, a simple grade point average will be used for selection.
As a bachelor's student at SDU, you can apply for permission to follow up to 30 ECTS Master's level courses even though you have yet to complete your Bachelor's degree.
You can be granted permission if you have the necessary academic qualifications. The progression of your Bachelor’s programme is crucial to the outcome of your application.

Have you completed a Master's programme?
If you've already obtained a Master's degree, you can only be admitted to a new programme if there are vacant study places in the programme.
