Professionalization of Public Private Innovation: Tools for Commercializing Welfare Solutions and Creating Network Consortia for Innovation Progresses

The aim of the project

The purpose of this project is to support southern Danish businesses in having more welfare solutions qualified so they can progress from the prototype stage to the market, also called the "valley of death". This phase of the innovation process typically sees many solutions failing to progress from the development stage to the market, resulting in the potential for sales and scalability not being activated. This will be done by 1) accumulating knowledge about the opportunities and challenges in the commercialization of OPI solutions and the formation of network consortia for the innovation process, and by 2) developing, testing, and designing tools that qualify and support public and private sector actors in their efforts to achieve commercialization and form network consortia for the innovation process.

The project outcome

The project aims to develop dialogue and management tools that qualify and support public and private partners in developing new welfare solutions through public private innovation (PPI) cooperation. Tools will be developed for the:

  1. formation of network consortia for the innovation process

  2. commercialization of welfare solutions.

The tools are in demand by public and private parties and must support PPI projects to be successful and so that companies´ growth potential can be activated.
