InnoAgeing

Project objective

To promote active ageing in nature, with the aim of keeping elderly people and nature healthy. InnoAgeing will contribute to the innovation of primary prevention for residents, holiday home owners and tourists through active and healthy ageing in nature, which will create new business opportunities and support the sustainable development of the UNESCO's Wadden Sea National Park World Heritage Site.

The project will investigate what significance active tourism in nature has in relation to individual health, and whether it can contribute to long-term lifestyle changes, including results that are physiologically and cognitively measurable.

Project results

The project will use co-design to involve active seniors in communities consisting of residents, visitors (holiday home owners) and tourists.

It will also contribute new skills and business models based on a deep understanding of the requirements of elderly people, sustainable use and conservation of existing resources in the Wadden Sea National Park.
