Public response to drone technology: Threats & opportunities for improved receptiveness

The aim of the project

The aim of this project is to gain an insight into society´s degree of preparedness for drones. In particular, we will look at the concerns people may have about the use of drones in urban spaces. These may be concerns related to privacy, safety, noise.

From this point of departure, the project will indicate what opportunities may exist for the industry and political decision makers to take account of public concerns and thereby ensure a better public reception and understanding of drones in our daily lives.

The project outcome

The project will help the industry and policy makers to develop better regulations and improve the design of drones. The project will also help stakeholders improve their communications with the public. Overall, the project will contribute to a more comprehensive and balanced understanding of the social challenges related to drones.
