AgeGuess:

Back ground

AgeGuess is an existing platform that invites people to upload images of themselves, thus helping to gather data about aging.

It is organized like a simple online game where you can upload your photos, make others guess your age, as well as guess the age of other users. You earn points based on your guess and compete with other users.

By participating in AgeGuess, you as a citizen contribute to building research data sets for the study of human aging.

The aim of the project

By launching targeted campaigns and publishing articles we envision a substantial boost of the project to trigger a snowball effect by making scientists and the public aware of the unique and rich data source that AgeGuess provides.

Such awareness will in turn increase the engagement of both citizen scientists and classical scientists and lead to further growth.

The project outcome

Expanding the existing open-data platform AgeGuess in order to get more far more people to upload images and thus establishing a solid data base for aging research.
