Autoimmune diseases

The research group is centered around the laboratory of autoimmunity, which is part of the Dept. of Clinical Immunology. The laboratory has a very broad range of analyses of autoantibodies to support the diagnostic process, and the laboratory serves as the national laboratory for a number of these analyses. We collaborate with laboratories in the UK, Germany and Sweden, as well as a number of clinical groups, amongst them Steffen Husbys group at Dept. of Pediatrics, OUH (on e.g. celiac disease), Nasrin Asgaris group (on e.g. neuromyelitis optica and paraneoplastic syndromes), and several others within the field of neurology and rheumatology. Research projects center around diagnostic utility of autoimmune antibodies.
