Causal Inference with Multiple IVs: Using Mendelian Randomization to Estimate the Causal Effects of Cannabis and Alcohol on Labor Productivity and of Creativity and Risk Taking on Entrepreneurship I

Giovanni Mellace has been awarded a DFF project 2 grant for his project “Causal Inference with Multiple IVs: Using Mendelian Randomization to Estimate the Causal Effects of Cannabis and Alcohol on Labor Productivity and of Creativity and Risk Taking on Entrepreneurship”. In this project he will derive new methods that allow to combine multiple instrumental variables to identify and estimate causal effects.  Moreover, he will study the effect of cannabis and alcohol consumption on labor market outcomes, health, and education attainments, as well as the effect of being a creative person and risk aversion on the probability to become an entrepreneur using the unique iPSYCH Danish genetic data.
