The Biomedical Laboratory has collaborations with many research groups, and is involved in several research projects, contributing to the development of new animal models.
Some 20-25% of all PhD-projects at the Faculty of Health Science involves the use of laboratory animals and is performed at the Biomedical Laboratory.
The laboratory's own research concentrates on improvement of methods, primarily anaesthesia and housing of laboratory animals.
