People News from the Faculty of Science, week 50
Jakob Lykke Andersen, PhD student at the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science, has been awarded a 2-year fellowship, funded by Earth Life Science Institute (ELSI) Origins Network, Tokyo Institute of Technology. Jakob will spend app. 50 % of each year at IMADA and app. 50 % at ELSI in Tokyo.
Katrine Hulgaard, Department of Biology, has defended her PhD thesis with the lecture Echolocation behavior as an indicator of attention and memory.
Professor Susanne Mandrup, Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, has received DKK 550,000 from the Danish Diabetes Academy for the project titled Uncovering the molecular basis for nutritional reprogramming of pancreatic cells using novel in situ and genome-wide approaches.
Postdoc Virginia Sanchez Quiles, Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, has received DKK 14,527 from the Lundbeck Foundation for travel in connection with the project titled Super-SILAC mix for quantitative proteomics of human bone marrow-derived mesenchymal stem cells.
