Professors Luis Bagatolland Ole G. Mouritsen, Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, have authored the book Life – as a matter of fat. The Ecuadorian public company Yachay EP has now donated a second edition of the book to La Habana University in Cuba. Professor Bagatolli says:

“It is an immense joy to contribute to the dissemination of knowledge among universities in Latin America, especially those in Cuba. This country is a prominent example of how an excellent and independent higher education system can be maintained as opposed to the mercantilization of higher education in the western world."














Academic assistant Adelina Rogowska-Wrzesinska, Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, has received USD 10,000 from the Griffith University and Southern Denmark University Collaborative Travel Grants Scheme 2014 for the project titled: PTM cross-talk in Parkinson.






Thesis student Line Boisen Petersen and PhD student Nicholai Daugaard Jensen, Department of Physics, Chemistry and Pharmacy, have received the award ”Best Scientific Contribution” for their poster titled SSNMR Studies of local environments in layered double hydroxides at the 36th Danish NMR Meeting.
