Professor Kim Skak Larsen, Department of Mathematics and Computer Science, has been appointed Knight of the Dannebrog by Her Majesty the Queen Margrethe 2 of Denmark.

 

Professor Ole G. Mouritsen, Department of Physics, Chemistry and Pharmacy, has published the book Fornemmelse for smag together with Claus Styrbæk.

 

Professor Susanne Mandrup, Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, has received EUR 100,000 from the European Foundation for the Study of Diabetes for the project titled: "Uncovering the nutritional impact on gene expression in pancreatic β-cells using novel in situ and genome-wide approaches”.

 

Anne Juul Jensen, PhD Student, Department of Physics, Chemistry and Pharmacy, is the author of Best 2014 Article in the publication Dansk Kemi. The article is about ICP-MS on human bones from the Middle Ages, and it appeared in issue no. nr 8, 2014, pp 16-19.

Students Thea Christensen and Patrick Rosendahl Andreassen, Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, have received grants from Novo Nordisk and Novozymes of DKK 7,000 per month until the conclusion of their thesis projects.

Associate Professor Michael Petersen, Department of Physics, Chemistry and Pharmacy, has been elected Teacher of the Year at the Faculty of Science.

Christina Udesen, Department of Physics, Chemistry and Pharmacy, has defended her PhD thesis, LNA Aptamers.
