Line Dithmer, Department of Biology, has defended her PhD thesis Chemical Lake Restoration with the lecture: Factors affecting the competitive sorption of natural organic matter and oxyanions to mineral surfaces.


PhD student Hanne Engelsby, Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, has received an award for outstanding contribution at the Gordon Research conference Barrier Function of Mammalian Skin for the lecture titled Loss of Acyl- CoA Binding Protein in Mice Results in Decreased Levels of Protein Bound Ceramides in Stratum Corneum and Affects Epidermis Integrity.

Assistant Professor Fabrizio Montesi, Department of Mathematics and Computer Science, has won the European Association for Programming Languages and Systems Best PhD Dissertation Award 2014 for his dissertation on Choreographic Programming. This award is given to the PhD student who has made the most original and influential contribution to the area of Programming Languages and Systems, and has graduated in the period from November 2013 to December 2014 at a European academic institute.

Jakob Jark Jørgensen, Department of Physics, Chemistry and Pharmacy, has defended his thesis Strong Interactions for Cosmology and given the lecture Non-minimally coupled inflation.

Hans Jørgen Aagaard Jensen, associate professor, Department of Chemistry, Physics and Pharmacy, has turned 60 and was celebrated with the conference "Open Shells, Open Questions".
