PhD Kim Ravnskjær, Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, has received € 50,000 from the European Foundation for the Study of Diabetes and Programme Partner Lilly. The title of the funded project is In situ analysis of hepatic stellate cell signalling in the development of hepatic fibrosis.
Vibe Jacobsen, student at the Department of Physics, Chemistry and Pharmacy, has received DKK 15,000 from Siemensfonden for ”indkøb af LED lys apparat til at katalysere kemiske faststofsreaktioner og rejser til synchrotroner”.
Associate Professor Bjarne Toft, Department of Mathematics and Computer Science, has co-authored a new book about the Danish designer, poet and lover of mathematics, Piet Hein. The title of the book is Piet Hein – Verdensdanskeren and it has been published by Gyldendal.
Olena Sokol, Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, has defended her PhD thesis Development of a Mass Spectrometry-based Platform for Analysis of Food Constituents Acting on Free Fatty Acid Receptors.
